Explore the dynamic range of the "leading lady" in the world of musical theatre through this voice and acting combo class! Students will dive into character and song analysis with a variety of female roles in musicals from the Golden Age to present day as they prepare numbers for the exhibition performance.

Intro to Theatre Jazz for Adults
Come brush up on old skills or gain new ones in this introductory jazz dance class for adults. This class is perfect for adults who are new to musical theatre or have taken a break from the stage and want to grow in technique, strength, flexibility and confidence for approaching choreography in musical theatre. Students in this class will be equipped with practical skills that can be taken to our mainstage productions.
This is a no prerequisite, guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 18+.
KIDS Musical Theatre Revue: Matilda (ages 6-9)
Revolting children unite! Join us for a raucous revue of songs from the hit musical Matilda! Students will act, sing and dance their way through “Revolting Children” and build upon skills to take the stage! Emphasis will be on building character and individual acting choices in a group/ensemble with some solo opportunities.
This is a no prerequisite, guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 6-9.

Take a deep dive into character, song analysis and voice! This class will guide students in learning how to focus on the objective of the character singing by identifying the needs, obstacles, tactics, expectations, and given circumstances of songs in musical theatre. Students will work on vocal technique as well as developing a consistent character while singing within the context of the story of a song. This is a skills building class only, there is no Exhibition performance
This is a no prerequisite, skills building opportunity for students aged 13+.
Find your Groove (ages 6-9)
Find your groove as you take the stage in this intermediate dance class! This class is perfect for anyone with some dance experience looking to sharpen their skills in dance for musical theatre. Students will focus on foundational technique, rhythm/musicality, and executing choreography with precision and character.
This is a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 6-9 who have taken our Dance FUNdamentals class, a KIDS production or Revue class, or a mainstage production equivalent.

Murder Mystery
Welcome to murder mystery 101! In this class, we will explore different murder, mystery scripts, and perform for a live audience with a dynamic and humorous Exhibition. In this class, we explore script contrasting with improvised comedy. We will also explore staying in character while facing unexpected interactions. This will all culminate in a performance that will look like it was planned all along. Come join us this winter!
This is a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 10-18. It is recommended that students interested in this class have some Improv class experience.
Design for the Stage: Costumes
In our Costumes Class, you’ll unravel the secrets behind selecting, creating, and manipulating fabric (and all other kinds of found objects and textiles) to enhance every performance. Whether you’re a budding actor, a seasoned stagehand, a curious enthusiast, or someone who just wants to be able to make a halloween costume and hem their pants! This immersive class offers hands-on training diving into:
Selection and Design: Discover how costumes are chosen or crafted to align seamlessly with the production’s theme and time period or chosen aesthetic. How do we get from script to stage?
Characterization: Explore how costumes can deepen character development and add layers of authenticity to an actor's performance.
Technical Skills: Learn essential techniques for sewing safely starting with the basics. From how to add a good dart to when to throw in an elastic waistband.
Creative Problem-Solving: Master the art of quick thinking, adapting, and using an outside the box approach!
If you are 12 or older, join us to learn new life skills and uncover the process of magic behind the costumes that bring stories to life!

Improv is the practice of instinct, communication and play. No matter what age you are or how many classes you’ve taken you can always learn more layers of the trade. In Improv II we will continue on the lessons and curriculum learned in the beginning class and dig deeper into the /why/ of improv.

Design for the Stage: Sets
Join us this Winter season as we explore the wonder of set construction & design! You'll learn each step of the process with your own set design. From mood boards, thumbnails sketches, renderings, to small to-scale models. Interspersed with our design process we will also head out to the sets shed to learn tool handling and safety! This class is great for anyone who wants to direct, use any aspect of design, build, craft, create, make new friendships, and strengthen old ones!

Hercules & Friends: a KIDS Musical Theatre Quest
Jump into musical theatre and strengthen your acting, voice and movement skills with this class! We will focus on building character and confidence on stage through songs from Disney’s Hercules and short scenes relating to Greek Mythology.

Improv I
Improvisation is an incredible way for students to learn important stage and life skills! Improv teaches students to focus, listen carefully, and be a good team member. In this class we'll go over improv vocabulary, techniques and games! Expect to learn to create zany characters, intricate environments and grow your imagination.

Acting: The Art of Movement
Acting: The Art of Movement will explore the wonderful world of Commedia Dell’Arte! An important foundation of modern theatre, Commedia involves animated physicality, distinct characterization, improvisation, and as the name suggests...comedy! Students will grow in using their bodies & voices to create bold characters and tell stories through this historic art form, as well as learn how to apply these acting skills to contemporary scripts. This no prerequisite, guaranteed performance opportunity class is perfect for anyone aged 11-22 who is looking to hone full body acting skills and take performing to a whole new level.
Run Crew Course
We are excited to offer a guaranteed crew opportunity for students aged 12-22. In this Run Crew Course, students will be working as Crew for the production of Willy Wonka KIDS during the dress rehearsals and performances. Students will be working backstage as Run Crew executing scene changes and opportunities will be available for programming and running lights in the Tech booth. Students will be working in a fast-paced environment, learning how to come alongside the actors to produce a great show. No previous Crew experience is required.
This class has all of its meetings between March 13 and March 18.
Experienced Improv
We are excited to offer a guaranteed performance opportunity for experienced Improv students aged 14-22. So you know C.R.O.W.S.A.M. (Character - Relationship - Objective - Where/Environment - Storytelling - Audience - Mechanics) and you’re itching to expand & push your improvisational skills? In this class we’ll be continuing to grow your repertoire of games & techniques while learning new mechanics & trying new forms of scene work. Every improviser has had that moment when you’re in the middle of a scene, the energy is right, the mechanics are going smoothly & you, your scene partner, & the audience are eating up every second. In this class we’ll be making those moments frequent and readily obtainable. This class may be taken an unlimited number of times.
This class will perform on Monday, March 20.
Entry Level Improv
We are excited to offer a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 10-22. Improv is an extraordinary place for students to learn tools to give and take focus, expand and explore through simply playing games. We’ll learn to create characters, strengthen physical memory & start honing in on some basic improv terminology and techniques. Students will learn performance based improv games and learn how to start a scene, be a strong team player, save their fellow performers, come up with ideas for scenes and more. This class can be taken an unlimited number of times.

Meredith Willson’s The Music Man KIDS
We are excited to offer a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 8-14.
Students in this class will be immersed into Musical Theater while learning and performing a scripted KIDS musical, Meredith Willson’s The Music Man KIDS. We are offering two different opportunities to participate in this class, Monday and Thursday. Thursday’s class is currently waitlisted.
Each cast will perform for friends and family on either Friday, March 17 (Thursday cast) or Saturday, March 18 (Monday cast).

Build-a-Cabaret
We are excited to offer a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 14-22
Have you ever wanted to direct? Cast? Choreograph? This class might be for you. It’s time to take the wheel into your own hands and tell a story that is meaningful and compelling. “Build-a-Cabaret” is all about giving you the student, the ability to write a plot line and script, source the music, cast (whether it’s just you or a few friends), choreograph, promote, and perform! The music can be previously written so songwriting experience is not necessary. This is all about the story you want to tell! Due to the performance times, this class will be extremely limited in capacity. (Limit 8)
This class will perform on Monday, March 20.
Disney’s Frozen KIDS
Students in this class will be immersed into Musical Theater while learning and performing a scripted Kids musical. We are excited to to offer a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 8-14.
The Monday cast will rehearse Mondays from 6pm to 8pm, January 3 through March 7, with a performance on Monday March 14.
The Thursday cast will rehearse Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm, January 6 through March 10, with a performance on Monday March 17.

Musical Theater Revue Easy Street: Broadway’s take on the Almighty Dollar
Join us for this musical theater revue class titled Easy Street: Broadway’s Take on the Almighty Dollar. You will learn and perform songs from In the Heights, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, 42nd St, and more. Broadway has always had a lot to say about the almighty dollar, so come enjoy dancing and singing to some of these classic money songs! The class will culminate in an exhibition performance of all of the songs learned during the class. We are excited to to offer a guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 12-22.
You can take one or both revue nights: Monday from 6-8pm will focus on dance and voice Thursday from 6-8pm will focus on acting and voice. Both classes will perform twice on March 14 and March 17.

This class is open to any student, ages 12-22, interested in the technical aspect of theater. Students will be focusing on set building and painting, costumes, props and hair and make up for our Winter Productions. Tech students will also have priority to serve as crew for our Winter Main Stage Production.
